Roger Maxwell, 74, of Carrollton, KY, died on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.
He was born on October 14, 1939 in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, the son of the late Charles Mack Maxwell and Georgia Whelan Maxwell. He was a self-employed electrician, having worked at various plants throughout the area including North American Stainless in Ghent, KY.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Turner Maxwell of Carrollton, KY, his son, Roger Maxwell, Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., a step-daughter, Connie Hunter of Carrollton, KY, a step-son, James Butler of Lexington, KY, brothers, Ronnie Maxwell of Louisville, KY, Ricky Maxwell of Bowling Green, KY, Bruce Maxwell of Pickens, S.C., two grandchildren, Stephen Charles Maxwell and Roger Adam Maxwell, both of Raleigh, N.C..
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Charlie Maxwell, a brother, Melvin Maxwell.
At Mr. Maxwell's request no service's are planned at this time and Direct Cremation has been chosen by his family.
