Roland K. “Bubby” Carlton, 68, of Worthville, KY, died on Friday, July 3, 2020 at his residence in Worthville, KY.

He was born on July 26, 1951 on the family farm in Ghent, KY, the son of the late Elmer Carlton SR. and Melvina Furnish Carlton.  He had worked most of his life at gas stations and factories, his last position as a Wire Machinist at a factory in La Grange, KY.  After his retirement he enjoyed repairing small engines, going to yard sales and bargain hunting.  He was a member of the Ghent Baptist Church from an early age growing up in the Ghent Community.

He is survived by his wife; Wanda Jean Richmond Carlton, to whom he married on May 9, 1998, a son; Ronald Carlton of New Castle, KY, a step-daughter; Sherry (Terry) Jackson of Carrollton, KY, two step-son’s; Scott Robbins of Bedford, KY, and Todd (Kathleen) Helm of Burlington, KY, a granddaughter; Riley K. Carlton, several step-grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Kenneth Ryan Carlton, Alfred “Buster” Carlton and Elmer “Junior” Carlton.

A Graveside Service will be on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Ghent Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Graham Reynolds officiating the service.  There will be no public visitation, all services will be at the cemetery.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
