Ronald Lee Perkinson

Ronald Lee Perkinson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the age of 76 in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky. Born on May 8, 1948, in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana, Ronald led a life marked by love, dedication, and service.

As a master electrician and safety director, Ronald retired from Gaylor Electric, where he was known for his expertise and commitment to safety in the workplace. His career exemplified a strong work ethic.

Ronald was a proud United States Army Veteran, serving his country with honor and distinction. His strong sense of duty extended beyond his military service into every aspect of his life, He was a member of the Carrollton Wesleyan Church. He was also a big supporter and sponsor of C4I of Israel, demonstrating his commitment to both faith and humanitarian efforts.

He dearly loved his wife, Anna Kendall Perkinson, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. Together, they built a family that brought great joy to Ronald's life. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Brooke (Shannon) Barrett of Berea, KY, and his son, Ron (Kim) Perkinson of Carrollton, KY. Ronald was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren: Samantha Goecke, Lauren Perkinson, and Megan Perkinson. He also delighted in the company of his two great-grandchildren, Emmett & Owen Goecke.

Ronald is mourned by his siblings: Gloria Dermon of Carrollton, KY, Linda Meredith of Hanover, IN, Judy Quir of Campbellsburg, KY, Karen Robbins, and Patricia Wright, both of Carrollton, KY, as well as his brother, Mike Perkinson of Madison, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Perkinson and Margaret Cedella Mikesell Wood, and his brother, Ray Perkinson.

In addition to his professional life, Ronald found joy in various hobbies and interests, including fishing, hunting, and collecting arrowheads. He loved to play games with his family and had a passion for muscle cars. Ronald took great pride in taking care of his farm, particularly in raising his cows, which brought him immense satisfaction.

Visitation for Ronald Lee Perkinson will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, located at 809 Highland Ave, Carrollton, KY 41008. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris White officiating the service. Interment will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Carroll County Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.

Ronald's legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support for his family and community will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
