Ronald E. "Ronnie" Smith, 60, of Carrollton, KY., died on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
Ronnie was born in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY., on May 6, 1951 to the late Robert E. and Velma Lee Moore Smith of Carrollton, KY.. He attended English Baptist Church, was a member of the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton, KY and was a Foreman at Lesco Manufacturing and Design Co. in LaGrange, KY.
His survivors are: one son of Michael Smith of Worthville, KY, his mother of Velma Lee Moore Smith of Carrollton, KY, a step-son of James "Rocky" Stephan of Carrollton, KY, two sisters of Carolyn Hotfil of Carrollton, KY and Becky Spencer of Carrollton, KY and 7 grandchildren.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his Father, Robert E. Smith, his wife, Janie Smith (2006), his step-daughter, Tammy Porter and his brother, Robert J. Smith.
The Rev. Jerry Knox officiated funeral services on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in the English Cemetery near Carrollton, KY.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
