Roxie Marie Arvin, 69, of Ghent, KY, born Roxie Marie Stucker on November 13, 1954, in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana, peacefully passed away on July 30, 2024, in the same town she was born in. Roxie was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many In her professional life, Roxie dedicated herself to various roles. Most recently, she her culinary talents at Welch's Restaurant in Carrollton as a Cook and Server. Prior to that, she contributed her skills at the former Joyce Shoe Factory and M & T Chemical Company.


Outside of work, Roxie had a zest for life that was evident through her hobbies and interests. She had a passion for quilting, crocheting, and shopping - activities that brought her immense joy and satisfaction, along with traveling to the boat for entertainment.


Roxie was preceded in death by her parents Bart A. Stucker and Mary Marie (Richards) Stucker Cole. She also joins her stepfather John Cole, sister Sharon Counts, and brothers Noland Stucker, Michael Stucker, Jerry Stucker, and Bart Stucker in eternal peace.


In celebrating the life she lived and the memories she created are surviving loved ones who will carry her legacy forward. Her husband Gayle Arvin of Ghent, KY reminisces on the beautiful moments they shared together. Roxie's daughter Dawn Lowis (Craig Furness) of Raymond, IL cherishes the bond they always held dear. Two sons also mourn her loss - Jason (Lisa) Arvin of Owenton, KY and Nathan (Cassie) Arvin of Louisville KY.


Family was paramount to Roxie as seen through her devotion to her siblings: Donna Ballard of Florence IN; Raymond Stucker of Hanover IN; Billy Stucker of Kokomo IN. Her eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren will forever treasure the love she showered upon them.


Amidst these sorrowful moments lingers the memory of Roxie's fur baby "Whopper", who provided unconditional companionship during both joyful and challenging times.


Roxie Marie Arvin touched numerous lives with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love. Her presence will be deeply missed but her spirit will continue to live on through the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Cremation has been chosen by the family with a service at a later date for her family in remembrance of her.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
