Roy Marcum

Roy J. Marcum, 75, of Worthville, KY, died on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at his daughters residence in Worthville, KY.

He was born on September 19, 1938 in Perry County, KY, the son of the late Dan Marcum and Pearlie Barger Marcum. He was retired from the Arvin Meritor Factory in Carrollton, having worked in the Maintenance Department for many years. He was a member of the Worthville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Jean Marcum, two daughters, Carol Richey of Norfolk, VA, and Crystal Broughton of Worthville, KY, a step-son, James Richie of Scottsburg, IN, a brother, R.B. Marcum of Indianapolis, IN, three sisters, Tilda McIntosh of Austin, IN, Florence Herald of Indianapolis, IN, and Julia Hall of Austin, IN, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, David J. Dwaine Marcum, a step-son, Eugene Richie, three brothers, Junior, Woodard and Marcus Marcum.

Funeral Services were on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Visitation was on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial was in the Worthville Cemetery in Worthville, KY.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
