Russell Henry Garrett, 84, of Carrollton, KY, died on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on October 28, 1929 in English, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Henry Harlan Garrett and Ollie Elizabeth (Smith) Noel. He was a retired Boilermaker for Boilermaker the Local Union #40. He had served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the English Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Garrett of Carrollton, KY, his daughters, Dana Lyons of Bethlehem, KY, and Daphna Denniston of Sparta, KY, a son, Russell Glenn "Rusty" Garrett of Worthville, KY, three sisters, Dorothy Ford of Carrollton, KY, Hazel Fox of Bedford, KY, June Sutherland of Carrollton, KY, two brothers, Raymond Garrett of Carrollton, KY, and Arthur Ross Garrett of Mulberry, FL, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Richard and Earl Garrett, two sisters, Wilda Mae Garrett and a infant sister.

Funeral Services were on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Chris White officiating the service. Visitation was from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial was in the English Cemetery in Carrollton, KY.
