Ruth Alexander

Ruth was born in Henry County, KY to Samuel Henry Nutgrass and Janetta Frances Ward Nutgrass. She was a faithful member of the Open Door Baptist Church where she was active in Ladies for Christ, Nursing Home Ministry, Sunday School Teacher and helped clean the building and prepare fellowship meals. She was a wife, mother and homemaker.

Survivors include: her husband - Paul Alexander, daughter - Paula Renee Hornback of North Vernon, IN, a son: David Wayne Alexander of Carrollton, KY, 3 sisters; Mary Elizabeth Larsen of Montclair, CA, Janet Lynn Rogers of Carrollton, KY and Peggy Ann Larsen of California, 3 brothers; William Henry Nutgrass, Larry Lewis Nutgrass and James D. Nutgrass all of Bedford, KY, one grandchild - Sherri Ann Hornback of North Vernon, IN. She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter - Sherri Ann Alexander, two sisters; Mildred Louise Larsen and Anna Faye Nutgrass, and a brother - Rand Nutgrass.

Funeral services were on Friday, January 30, 2013 at the Open Door Baptist Church officiated by the Pastor Jerry Ison and Bro. Carl Rogers. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
