Ruth Ligon

Ruth (Bibb) Ligon, 89, formerly of Sanders, KY., died on Monday morning, March 3, 2008 at the Harborside Health Care Center in Owenton, KY.
She was born in Owen County, KY to Thomas and Martha (Bibb) Bibb who preceded her in death. She was a long time member of the Sanders Baptist Church where she was active in the W.M.U. Ruth also was a homemaker and former sales clerk at Lerman Brothers Department Store in Carrollton, KY.
Survivors include her daughter; Lois Jensen of Lake Havasu, AZ, a granddaughter; Shelley Chappell of Wheatley, KY, a sister; Pauline Bibb of Carrollton, KY and 4 step-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband; Herschel Ligon, 4 sisters; Addie Smith, Beulah Ligon, Tinia Hardesty and Iva Thompson and 3 brothers; Clyde Bibb, Sylvester Bibb and Gayle Bibb.
The Rev. Hardin Lowe officiated the service on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Sanders Baptist Church. Interment followed the service in the Dallasburg Masonic Cemetery in Wheatley, KY.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
