Ruth Suter

Ruth Tilley Suter, 83, of Pompano Beach, FL and formerly of Carrollton, KY passed away with family by her side on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at North Broward Health in Deerfield Beach, FL.

Born September 18, 1935 in Carroll County, KY to Noble and Pauline Kopp Tilley Blankenship.  She worked with the Carroll County School System while living in Carrollton and was active in Girl Scout Leadership.  In 1972, she and her family moved to Pompano Beach where she worked as an X-ray technician and later as Office Manager for a CPA firm until she retired in 1992.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joseph D. Tilley, and by her first husband, Ray Fred Rodgers in 1956 and her second husband, Hollie Suter in 1991.

She is survived by three daughters, Debby (Bob) Cain of Pompano Beach, FL, Vickie (Gary) Edwards of Milton, KY, Deanie (Bill) Forthofer of Glastonbury, CT and six grandchildren, Stacey Edwards of Milton, KY, Jamie Cain of Milton, KY, Ryan Forthofer of Deerfield, NY, Jennifer Campbell of Hailey, ID, Audrey Brisee of Portland, CT, and Tyler Forthofer of Saint Robert, MO.  She also has three great-grandchildren and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of two more.  She is also survived by sisters, Doris Fox and Carolyn Welch, both of Jupiter, FL, Mary Frances Mefford of Carrollton, Phyllis Perry of Hendersonville, NC, and one brother, Frank Tilley of Carrollton, along with many nieces and nephews.
