Sally Carrico passed away in hospice care at Norton Hospital in Louisville on Monday, June 8, 2015.
She was born on February 1, 1927 in Turners Station, Ky. to Noah and Bessie Batts.
Sally grew up on a farm near English, the youngest of 4 daughters. She graduated from Carrollton High School and from Beauty School. Sally was a member of the English Baptist Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, cooking, watching movies and spending time with her family. She had been a resident in assisted living since January '07.
Sally is survived by her daughters, Marita Graves of Ocala, Florida; Carol Romero of Atlanta, Georgia; and Connie Howard of Carrollton. She has 8 grandchildren: Richard, Jason, Suzy Carrico, Michelle Whitt, Billy Dale Wilson of Carrollton; Estee Davis from Ocala, Fl, and Andre Graves from Atlanta, Georgia. She has 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Sally was preceded in death by her grandson, Tony Todd Motley, her husband, Tom, and her son, Steve.
The Rev. Keith Miller will officiate services.
