Samuel Franklin “Frank” Beach, 74, of Owenton, KY, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY.
He was born on November 25, 1943 in Ghent, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Chester Lee Beach and Cornelia Lloyd Beach. He had served his country proudly having served in the Vietnam Era in the United States Army, having received a Purple Heart for his injuries sustained during the Vietnam War. For his service he also received the Sharpshooter, Marksman and Letter of Appreciation award. He had retired from the Dow Corning Corporation in Carrollton, having worked on the Fire Watch Crew and Maintenance Department. He was a former member of the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton and the V.F.W. Post #5396 in Vevay, IN. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Gay Evelyn Martin Beach of Owenton, KY, his son's, Samuel Frank Beach, Jr. and Chris Beach of Carrollton, KY, a step-son, Jack Brown of Carrollton, KY, a brother, Walter Beach, Sr., of Ghent, KY, two sisters, Edna McIntyre of Carrollton, KY, and Kathy Jones of Florence, KY, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Lisa Beach, and four sisters, Emma Jean Beach, Connie Jones, Margaret Louise Griffith and Kristine Burgess.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
