Shannon Lee Horner, the beloved owner and operator Shannon's East End Transmission Service, passed away on January 18, 2024, in Carrollton, KY. He was born on August 2, 1961, the same town where he would spend his entire life.
Shannon was a hardworking individual who dedicated his life to his work. His career as the owner and operator of Shannon's East End Transmission Service was a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment excellence. Through his business, he provided valuable services to the community and built lasting relationships with his customers.
Outside of work, Shannon found great joy in spending time with his family. He married Robin Lee Smith Horner, and together they created a beautiful family that was central to Shannon's life. He is survived by his loving wife Robin and their children: Angela Smith of Sioux Falls, SD; Amber Horner of St. Helen, MI; Jason (Carrie) Horner of LaGrange, KY; Shawn Horner of Carrollton, KY; Joshua (Becky) Smith of Murfreesboro, TN; Paul (Rachel) Blackburn of Carrollton, KY; and Robert (Kayla) Blackburn of Carrollton, KY.
Shannon was a devoted brother as well. He is survived by his sister Crystal Buchanan of Bedford, KY and brother Jeff (Norma) Horner of Worthville, KY. Although he is no longer with us physically, Shannon will always hold a special place in their hearts.
In addition to being a loving husband and father figure to many, Shannon cherished the role of being a grandfather. His grandchildren brought him immeasurable happiness and touched his life in profound ways. They include Albany Blackburn, Trenton Blackburn, Cami Blackburn, Ryder Blackburn, Asher Parks, Brody Parks, Chance Parks, Caleb Smith, Matthew Blackburn, Zander Horner, Dominic Horner, Pamela Horner, James Horner, Maddilynn Horner, and Annalise Copeland. Shannon was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Amirra Perkins.
Shannon was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Wesley Horner and Mildred Young Horner, as well as his sisters Pam Wilson, Michelle Cooliage, and Barbara Garvick, and his brother John Horner. They now rest in eternal peace.
A visitation to honor and celebrate Shannon's life will be held on January 24, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home located at 809 Highland Ave in Carrollton, KY.
Shannon Lee Horner will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his work and his commitment to his family. His presence touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever be held dear by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on through the love and memories he shared with his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
