Shirley Searcy

July 26, 1919 — April 2, 2005

Shirley was born in Gallatin County, Kentucky to James Henry and Elizabeth Burksher Griffin, who preceded her in death. She was a farmer, a homemaker and Member of the Carrollton Christian Church. She was active in the Whites Run Christian Ladies Aid Association and the PTA at the old Sanders Grade School.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna Bond of Sanders, KY, two sons, James Perry Searcy and Larry Douglas Searcy both of Sanders, KY, a brother, Bernard N. Griffin of Ft. Mitchell, KY, 6 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents, her husband Harry Douglas Searcy, two sisters, Edna Caplinger and Grace Bond, three brothers, Harold D., William P., and James W. Griffin.

Funeral Services will be officiated by the Rev. Amanda Hines. Expressions of sympathy amky take the form of gifts to the Carroll County Public Library.
