Stanley Schirmer

Stanley V. "Buster" Schirmer, 78, of Ghent, KY., died on Monday morning at the Carroll County Hospital in Carrollton. He was born in Ghent, KY to Arthur Rocker and Nana Lucille Vories Schirmer who have preceded him in death. He was a farmer and member of the former Ghent Christian Church and the Browinski Lodge #64, I.O.O.F.

Surviving are his wife, Imogene Marshall Schirmer, a daughter, Benita and Dr. David Harris of Paris, KY, sons, Scott and Paula Schirmer of Ghent, KY, Darrell and Valerie Schirmer of Winchester, KY and Stuart and Penny Schirmer of Ghent, KY. Also, 4 sisters, Martha Jean Earl of Ghent, KY, Mary Lou Smith of Carrollton, KY, June C. Darnold of Carrollton, KY and Betty Hammer of Greenfield, IN, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 1 sister, Sara Louise Bohanon.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Bruce Bohanon, Jason Darnold, Steve Wright, Barry Smith, Jeff Cull and Marty Marshall. Honorary pallbearers: All nieces and Nephews and Dr. Samer Hussein.

Memorial gifts may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
