Steve Meadows, 74, of Carrollton, KY, died on Sunday morning, January 26, 2020 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

He was born on April 25, 1945 in English, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Bennie and Ruby Patton Meadows.  After his graduation in 1963 from Carroll County High School he joined the United States Navy and served his Country proudly until his honorable discharge 1967.   He had retired from the Carroll County Road Department and also worked for the Carroll County Ambulance Service for a total of 38 years of service .  He had served for several years as a Deputy Coroner under the late James B. Dunn.  After his retirement he enjoyed mowing grass, , weed eating and leaf blowing.  He was one of the founding members of the “Asphalt Angels Car Club” in Milton, KY.  He was a member of the Carrollton Wesleyan Church.

He is survived by his wife; Vi  McCourt Meadows of Carrollton, KY, two son’s; Steve (Sandi) Meadows and Scott Meadows of Carrollton, KY, a sister; Sharon Sue (Michael) Hartman of Carrollton, KY,  five grandchildren and one great grandchild survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Ronnie and Bennie Wayne Meadows, a sister; Oueda Jane Patton.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
