Steven Allen Carrico, 61, died on Friday, December 2, 2011 at his residence in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on December 15, 1949 in Madison, Jefferson County, IN, the son of the late Thomas Ward Carrico and Sally Louise Batts Carrico of Carrollton, KY. He was retired from the Dow Corning Chemical Company in Carrollton as a Boiler House Operator after 26 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton and also served on the Post #41 Honor Guard. He was a volunteer driver for the D.A.V. Transport Team. He was a member of the English Baptist Church and in his spare time he enjoyed local history and genealogy.

He will be missed bu his three son's, Richard W. "Zeke" Carrico, Jason A. Carrico and Billy Dale Wilson all of Carrollton, KY., two daughters, Suzanne Michelle Carrico of Shelbyville, TN., and Suzanne Michelle Whitt of Warsaw, KY., his mother of Carrollton, KY., three sisters, Rita Snyder of Ocala, FL., Carol Romero of Atlanta, GA., and Connie Howard of Carrollton, KY., eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Deborah Diane Meadows Carrico in 2006.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial gifts were suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.

Funeral Services were on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Owenby officiating the service. Military Honors were presented by the Madison American Legion Post #9.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
