Steven Leo Taylor, Sr., 63, of Carrollton, KY, died on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY.
He was born on August 2, 1954 in Milan, Ripley County, IN, the son of the late Alfred Albert Taylor and Mildred Mae Frazier Taylor. He was known for his skills on working on small engine repair. He was a very talented musician and was lead singer and founder for the band “Strictly Country” that was started in Bedford, KY. He was a member of the Cove Hill Baptist Church and an avid U.K. fan.
He will be missed by his wife, Wilma Jean McKinney Taylor of Carrollton, KY, his two daughters, Joy Aline Smith and Wilma Marie Mullins, both of Carrollton, KY, three sons, Randy Allen Taylor and Steven Leo Taylor, both of Carrollton, KY, and Woody Wayne Taylor of Milton, KY, three sisters, Brenda Sue Pettit of Lawrenceburg, IN, Emma Mae Hicks of Campbellsburg, KY, and Konney Lane of Lawrenceburg, IN, five brothers, Norman Taylor, Timmy Taylor and Alfred Taylor, all of Lawrenceburg, IN, William Zosel and Matt Zosel, both of Tampa, FL, fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jeffery “Monkey” Taylor, a granddaughter, Kaydence Jean Taylor and a great - great grandchild, Jaelyn Lee Hicks.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
