Steven Wheeler

Steven C. "Rooster" Wheeler, 56, of Milton, Carroll County KY., died Friday, April 27, 2012 at The King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, IN.

He was born on August 9, 1955 in Madison, IN., the son of the late William D. "Pickle" Wheeler and Anna C. (Mefford) Wheeler. He was a truck driver for Indiana-Kentucky Trucking Company located in Carrollton, KY., for many years. He was a member of the Family Worship Center in Carrollton. In his spare time he enjoyed riding motorcycles and racing cars starting when he was a teenager.

He will be missed by his wife, Bonnie J. (Easton) Wheeler to whom he married in Bedford, KY., on May 4, 1973, his two brothers, Sonny (Sally) Wheeler and Danny (Jane) Wheeler of Carrollton, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his only son, Mike Wheeler on August 29, 1999.

A Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Public visitation will be on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. (time of service) at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. In honoring his wishes, cremation has been chosen by his family.

In Lieu of flowers, his family strongly suggest memorial gifts in his memory go to the Carroll County Animal Support Group in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Public visitation will be on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. (time of service) at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
