Terry Hoopengarnar

Terry Lee  Hoopengarnar, 63, of Milton, KY, died on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY.  He was born on October 2, 1955 and was raised by the late James Smitha and Mary Virginia Meeks Barr.  He had retired in 1996 from IKT Trucking Company as a truck driver.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He dearly loved his family and spending time with his grandkids and his friends, camping, using his tractor, he loved animals, fishing and four wheeling.  He loved watching Drag Races and NASCAR.

He will be missed by his wife, Yvonne “Sis” Phelps Hoopengarnar of Milton, KY, his daughter, Letitia “Tish” (Harry) Hatton of Carrollton, KY,  two brothers, Mike (Ruthie) Hoopengarner of Carrollton, KY,  and James Smitha of Ghent, KY, two sisters, Sue Courtney of Ghent, KY, and Donna (Pat) Dennis of Warsaw, KY, three grandchildren, Keagan Lancy Hatton, Kaidyn Louise Hatton and Kyleigh Laine Hatton, all of Carrollton, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents,  two brothers, Jerry and Timmy Hoopengarner, two sisters, Edith Smith Gordon and Sherry Hoopengarner.
