Thelma Hackney

Jean Baxter Hackney, age 87, of Carrollton, KY died Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY.  She was born in Turners Station, Henry County, KY on April, 30, 1931 to Jesse and Margaret Y. Kelly Baxter.  Jean was a member of the Carrollton Wesleyan Church and was a former Floor Lady at Teledyn-Wirz factory in Carrollton, KY and was also a homemaker.  She enjoyed buying, selling and trading furniture, knick-knacks and houses.

She is survived by a daughter; Kathy (Joe) Dawson of Carrollton, KY, one sister, Joan Tolliver of Carrollton, Ky, two grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Virgil Hackney, three sisters, Kathryn Plew, Della Wilson and Eva Ingram, four brothers, Robert Baxter, Jesse Baxter, Jr., James Fred Baxter and Vernon Baxter, one grandchild, Aaron Dawson and a greatgrandchild, Maddie Dawson.
