Thurston Goodman

Thurston Goodman, 63, of Carrollton, KY, died on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at his residence in Carrollton, KY.

He was born on January 18, 1950 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, the son of Thurston J. Goodman and Edna J. Soeder Goodman of Williamsburg, VA. He was a retired Truck Driver for the Kroger Grocery Company. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy. In his spare time he enjoyed selling his farm produce and visiting with customers at the Riverview Farmers Market in Carrollton. He was involved with the Harrods Creek Field and Stream Club in Prospect, KY, National Rifle Association, the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Competition in Friendship, IN. He was a member of the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton. He was of the Lutheran Faith.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Henson Goodman, his parents, two sons, Michael Graine of Louisville, KY, and Cameron Logsdon of Bismark, North Dakota, four daughters, Alison Anderson of Springfield, IL, Lyndee Milczarek of St. Louis, MO, Heather Schumcher of Peoria, IL, and Meredith Helm of Louisville, KY, a sister, Janice Roycroft of Boca Raton, FL, a brother, Alan Goodman of Worchester, VA, eleven grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services were Friday, September 13. 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Wounded Warriors Project in care of the funeral home.

Visitation will be from Noon-3:00 P.M. on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
