Timothy Ellis

Timothy Michael “Tim” Ellis, 61, of Carrollton, KY, died on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his residence in Carrollton.

He was born on August 14, 1955 in Madison, Jefferson County, IN, the son of the Raymond Garrett of Carrollton, KY, and the late Betty Jo Garrett and the late Grover C. Ellis, Jr. He was currently a School Bus Driver for the Carroll County Board of Education in Carrollton. He had previously served as a Police Officer for the City of Carrollton, he had served as Safety Director for Usher Transport, Safety & Training Director for Transport Service and he was a former member of the Carrollton Fire Department, where he had served as Assistant Chief. He was a member of the C.C.A.S. and the Family Worship Center in Carrollton.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Leigh Schuler Ellis of Carrollton, KY, three son’s, Clinton Michael Ellis of Laurel, IN, Dillon Michael Ellis and Ethan Joseph Ellis, both of Carrollton, KY, his father who raised him, Raymond Garrett of Carrollton, KY, a sister, Donna Ellis Marlette of Carrollton, KY, and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Jo Garrett and Grover C. Ellis, Jr., maternal grandparents, Nellie Brown Rodgers and Joe “Pard” Rodgers, his paternal grandparents, Grover C. Ellis, Sr. and Sallie Cook Ellis.
