Tommy Dwayne Mertz, 42, of Worthville, KY, died on Monday, January 12, 2015 at his residence in Worthville, KY.
He was born on June 24, 1972in Shelbyville, Shelby County, KY, the son of the late Charles L. Mertz and Mattie Dixon Stivers of Carrollton, KY. He was a member of the Calvary Full Gospel Church in Carrollton.
He is survived by his mother of Carrollton, his wife, Jamie Carter Mertz of Worthville, KY, a daughter, Angel Mertz of New Castle, KY, six sons, Brandon Mertz of New Castle, KY, Seth Palmer of Carrollton, KY, Tommy Mertz, Jr. of Washington, D.C., Hank Mertz of Danville, KY, Casey Mertz of Danville, KY, and Kenny Mertz of Shelbyville, KY, a sister, Pamela Crouch of Carrollton, KY, three brothers, Timmy Mertz of Owenton, KY, Charles G. Mertz of Carrollton, KY, and Michael Mertz of Carrollton, KY, three grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Carroll "Bimp" McAlister officiating the service at the at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the New Castle Cemetery in New Castle, KY.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
