Tony Madden, 67, of Carrollton, KY., died on Sunday evening, January 30, 2011 at his residence in Carrollton.
He was born on February 3, 1943 in Kenvir, KY., the son of the late John and Thelma Posey Madden, and also his Uncle and Aunt who raised him from the age of five; Albert and Sarah Madden. Mr. Madden was retired from the Boilermakers Local #40 Union.
He was of the baptist faith.
He served his country in the U.S. Army, having been inducted on May 8, 1962 and then being honorably discharged on April 27, 1964.
Mr. Madden will be missed by his wife; Nina Shumate Madden of Carrollton, KY., three daughters; Donna Luhn of Carrollton, KY., Pam (Garry) Sammons of Carrollton, KY., and Anne (Chris) Reese also of Carrollton, KY., two sisters; Margaret Simpson of Meredith, NY., and Phyllis Barnett of Oak Grove, MO., a brother; Verlan Madden of Evarts, KY., eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his uncle and aunt who raised him and his son-in-law; Mark Luhn.
A Memorial Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Cremation was chosen by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
