Velma Craig

Velma Jean “Bunny” May Craig, was born to Elmer F. and Cleo Richmond May on August 28, 1946, in Madison, IN.  She passed this life on January 20, 2022, at her home in Sanders, KY, at the age of 75.

She had managed the Dollar General Store in Carrollton for several years.

Velma is survived by her husband, Alfred T. Craig, to whom she married on March 8, 1961, her daughter, Angel Craig, both of Sanders.  Three granddaughters survive, Sara Pelsor of Madison, IN, Cristin Bissett of Vevay, IN, and Heaven Craig-Bray of Lexington, KY, seven great grandchildren, Quenton Chadwell, Hunter and Noah Bissett, Neveah, Aubree, Austyn and Aidyn Craig, one sister, Betty Jean May Gordon of Milton, KY, several nieces and nephews, cousins and facebook friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Lisa Craig Chadwell, a brother in-law, Forest B. Gordon, two nephews, Samuel Gordon and Chuck Gordon, a grandson, Cory W. Chadwell, and one great grandson, Waylon Bissett.

Mrs. Craig has requested Cremation and no Funeral Service.  The family has decided due to the Pandemic, no memorial service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given directly to the family or the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
