Verna Moore

Verna Lee Ellis Moore, 76, of Carrollton, KY formerly of Warsaw, KY passed this life on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Baptist Health Louisville.  She was born on March 28, 1942 in Verona, Boone County, KY to Vernon and Lucy Lee Morgan Ellis.  She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, was a retired server at Putt’s Restaurant in Frankfort, KY, loved crocheting, cooking and hummingbirds.

Survivors include; three daughters, Dorothy Lee Robbins and husband Cheston of Carrollton, KY, Patricia Ann Tuel and husband, Billy of Ghent, KY and Katherine Marie “Kathy” Arvin and husband, Scott of Madison, IN, a son, Elwood S. “Chip” Moore and wife, Samantha of Carrollton, KY, a sister, Laura Ruth Evans of Charlestown, IN, a brother, Thomas Vernon Ellis and wife Debbie of Warsaw, KY, two step-sisters and two step-brothers, twelve grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by, her parents, her husband, Elwood S. Moore, Sr., a son, Donald Lee Henry, two brothers, Richard Edwin Ellis and James Victor Ellis, a step-sister and a step-brother.
