Virginia Hendricks

Virginia Lee Dolby Hendricks, 88, of Carrollton, KY., died at 2:55 P.M. Sunday at the Green Valley Health and Rehab Center in Carrollton.

She was born in Prestonville, Carroll County, KY., the daughter of the late Charles Morton Dolby and Virgie Horine. She was employed by the former Kelly's Florist in Carrollton for 15 years, she was a waitress ar the former Shelter House Grill at General Butler State Park for 8 years, and she was also a fomer cook/waitress at the former Dairy Bar for several years. Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.

She is survived by two daughters; Wilda Jo Davis of Daytona Beach, FL. and Ann Carrico of Carrollton, KY., a son survives: Raymond Earl Hendricks, Sr. of Carrollton, KY., eight grandsons; Mark David Davis of Carrollton, KY., James Thomas Davis of Covington, KY., Charles (Chuck) Steven Davis of Louisville, KY., Raymond Earl Hendrick, Jr. of Florida, Joseph (Eric) Hendricks of Florida, William (Bill) Scott Carrico of Carrollton, KY., Joshua Lee Carrico of Carrollton, KY., and Todd Palmer of Northern, KY., eight great grandaughters and seven great grandsons and one great-great grandaughter also survives, several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Orville E. Hendricks to whom died in 1993, they were married on April 7, 1934, a sister; Lavinia McManis and one brother; Morton Dolby, she was also preceded in death by two half-sisters, one half-brother and two other sisters.

The Rev. Chris White will officiate the services on Wednesday at the church.

Memorial Gifts may be given to the First Baptist Church of Carrollton, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
