Virginia Mae Vannarsdall, 83, of Ghent, KY., died on Monday, March 28, 2005 at her daughters residence in Sanders, KY.
She was born in Grant County, KY., the daughter of the late Lee Wilson and Anna Cannon. Virginia and her husband, the late Olen T. Vannarsdall, operated the former Sunoco Station in Ghent, KY., for 20 years. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Bramlette Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters; Donna Duncan of Owenton, KY., Judy Cobb of Owenton, KY., Diane McKinney of Bedford, KY., and Susan New of Sanders, KY., six son's; Larry Vannarsdall of Wheatley, KY., Gene Vannarsdall of Carrollton, KY., Ronny Vannarsdall of Scottsburg, IN., Jimmy Vannarsdall of Carrollton, KY., Dickie Vannarsdall of Hazard, KY., and Johnny Vannarsdall of Carrollton, KY., twenty eight grandchildren and thirty nine great grandchildren also survive.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Olen T. Vannarsdall, three daughters; Rita Sue Vannarsdall, Patsy Ann Vannarsdall and Sharon Lee Vannarsdall, three sisters; Myrtie Vannarsdall, Carrie Brown and Opal Stewart, four brothers; Rowe Wilson, Omer Wilson, Estill Wilson and Raymond Wilson, one grandchild also preceded her in death, Kevin Vannarsdall.
The Rev. David "Milkweed" Wotier will officiate the service at the funeral home, followed by Rev. Jessie Bourne conducting the graveside service. A Eulogy will be given by Rodney Kincaid at the funeral home, along with a Poem by Starla Wang.
Pallbearers will be Larry, Gene, Ronny, Jimmy, Dickie, Johnny Vannarsdall, and Dale New.
Memorial gifts may be given to Carrollton Medical Associates Relay For Life Team in care of the funeral home.
