Vonda McGuire

Vonda Jean McGuire, age 66 of Carrollton, KY, passed this life on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY.  She was born on June 3, 1953 in Newport News, VA to William Carroll Jones and Lillian Hunter Jones Warfield.  Vonda was a custodian at Cartmell Elementary School in Carrollton, KY, former custodian at Carroll County Memorial Hospital and had worked as a sitter at Ms. Karen’s Pre-School.  She enjoyed many hobbies including, gardening, cooking, photography, oil painting and drawing.

Her surviving family members are three sons; Bryan (Amanda) McGuire of Sanders, KY, Jeff (Stephanie) McGuire of Carrollton, KY and Michael (Jennifer) McGuire of Ghent, KY, two brothers; Larry (Ellen) Jones of Carrollton, KY and Lonnie (fiancé-Lori Bentley) Jones of New Castle, KY, her mother, Lillian Hunter Warfield of Carrollton, KY and seven grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her father; William Carroll Jones, her first husband; Gerald Wayne McGuire and second husband; Roy Lee Hicks.
