Wanda Lowry

Wanda Lee Lowry, 69, of Worthville, KY., died on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on May 30, 1939 in Ellwood City,PA., the daughter of the late Clark Alexander and Hallie Blanche (Rough) Shipley. Wanda was a housewife and a church secretary at her church, Worthville United Pentecostal Church were she was a member of the ladies auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; Rev. Warren Lowry, daughters; Darlene Yvonne Stewart of Turners Station, KY., and Naomi Joy Foley of Lashmeet, WV., sons; Raymond Daniel Beatty of Worthville, KY., and Lawrence Thomas Beatty, II., a sister; Joann Underwood of Jacksonville, FL., and a half sister Grace Forsythe of St. Petersburg, FL., seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Betty Meldrum and Jean Drenner.

Funeral Services were conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 23 at the Worthville Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Raymond Sharon, Rev. Glen Gibson, Rev. James Allen and Rev. Edgar Tetrick officiating the service. Burial was in the Worthville Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
