Wilbert Oder

Wilbert Elwood Oder, 85, of Carrollton, KY, died on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the Signature Healthcare of Carrollton.

He was born on April 30, 1931 in Owen County, KY, the son of George Oder and Beatrice Kinman Oder. He was retired from the Farmers Bank of Milton as Vice President, retiring on December 31, 2004. He had served as manager of the former Royal Theater in Carrollton and also had managed Term Finance. He was a member of the English Christian Church, where had served as an Elder of the Church, Chairman of the Board and had taught Sunday School for a number of years. He was a former member of the Carrollton Jaycees. He had served as Past President of the Carrollton Rotary Club. He was also very active many years ago in the HOPE workshop in Carrollton.

He had served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He will be missed by his wife, Shirley V. Tingle Oder of Carrollton, KY, a daughter, Tracy Canine (Husband Gayle) Smith of Florida, a son, Tony (Wife Kathy) Wilson of Carrollton, KY, a sister, Anna Mae Walls of Florence, KY, two brothers, Harold Oder of Carrollton, KY, and Marvin Oder of Richwood, KY, two grandchildren, Caleb and Henry Canine of Carrollton, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Katherine Parsons and a brother, Ronnie Oder.
