Willa McDaniel

Willa Alice McDaniel, 81, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Carrolton, KY, died on  Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Nazareth Home in Louisville, KY.

She was born on March 2, 1936 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the daughter of the late William Cecil Ellison and Mabel Kress Ellison.  She was a homemaker and a member of the First Apostolic Church of Carrollton.  At church she was active in Sunday School and enjoyed singing in the Church Choir.  In her spare time she enjoyed playing the Accordion, Walking, Riding Bicycles and listening to Gospel and Old Country Music.

She is survived by a son, Carey (Bonnie) McDaniel of Louisville, KY, two daughters, Deniese (Doug) Beutel of Franklin, TN, and Tina Michele (Billy) Lucas of Worthville, KY, two brothers, Devon Ellison and Kenny (Stacy) Ellison, both of Carrollton, KY, a sister, Wanda McDowell of Carrollton, KY, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kenneth “Bud” McDaniel in June of 1967.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Nazareth Homes, Inc. in care of the funeral home.
