William E. Garrett, 97, of Sanders, KY, died on Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Providence of Richwood in LaGrange, KY.
He was born on May 7, 1917 in Drennon Springs, Henry County, KY, the son of the late Prentice Garrett and Melissa Woods. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Carrollton.
He is survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bessie Raisor Garrett, four sons, Artie Garrett, Tommy Garrett, Porter Garrett, Sr., and Robert Garrett, three brothers, Thomas, Otis and Gene Garrett, three sisters, Jane Bowling, Virginia Smith and Frances Raisor.
Funeral Services were on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Ison officiating the service. Visitation was on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial was in the Ghent Masonic Cemetery in Ghent, KY.
Arrangements was were entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. On Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Ison officiating the service.
