William McAlister

William R. "Sug" McAlister, 74, of Goshen, KY., died on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at his residence in Goshen.
He was born on May 5, 1938 in Trimble County, KY., the son of the late Dell W. and Virginia (Murphy) McAlister. He was retired after forty five years of service with McAlister Insurance Company based in Goshen, KY., as a Insurance Agent. He was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church in Goshen, KY. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
He was united into marriage to Betty Sue (Ellis) McAlister on August 25, 1960, other survivors include a daughter, Tracy S. (Husband Keith) Kasey of Goshen, KY., two granddaughters, Jessica Kasey and Erica Kasey, both of Goshen, KY., and one brother, Frank (Wife Cheryl Lynn) McAlister of New Albany, IN., also survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Jeffrey William McAlister in 2004, two sisters, Louise Bickers and Virgie McAlister, five brothers, Raymond McAlister, Delmar McAlister, Donald W. McAlister, SR., Wayne F. "Ike" McAlister and John G. McAlister.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 1:00 P.M at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton with the Rev. Gary MaGuffee and Rev. Carroll "Bimp" McAlister officiating the service. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home and from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Shiloh United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home and from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.
