William Poindexter

William Edward "Bill" Poindexter, of 816 Highland Ave., Carrollton, KY., passed away at his home in Carrollton, KY., on Friday, September 28, 2007 at the age of 92.

He was born on May 7, 1915 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, IN., to Lloyd Elkin and Opal Kessler Poindexter.

William was married to Pauline Searcy Poindexter since 1975. He was a graduate of Madison High School. He was a W.W. II. Veteran in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific as a radar and search light technician.

William was the manager of Carrollton Auto Supply before retiring from M&T Chemicals in 1981. He was an avid Golfer and loved the outdoors. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Carrollton.

He is survived by his wife and one son; William Earl Poindexter of Madison, IN., and two step sons; Michael L. Cutshaw and Myron P. Cutshaw, both of Carrollton, KY., two step daughters; Marilyn Cutshaw Hagerdon of South Dayton, NY, and Nina Cutshaw Oney of Newark, OH., five grandsons and two granddaughters, eleven great grandchildren, three sisters; Ziddy Matthews, Mildred Hertz, both of Madison, IN., and Mary Greathouse of North Vernon, IN., and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Charles Poindexter.

William and Pauline have chosen Cremation with a Memorial Service were conducted on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the United Methodist Church of Carrollton.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home is charge of the arrangements.

Memorial Service - 2:00 P.M. - Saturday - October 6, 2007 at the United Methodist Church of Carrollton.

Interment

Cremation was chosen by the family.
