William E. "Jim" Watson, 79, of Carrollton, KY., died on Friday morning, June 3, 2005 at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, IN.
He was born in Cincinnati, OH., the son of the late Hattie Jett. "Jim" as he was commonly known retired from M & T Chemical Company in Carrollton after 33 years of service as a chemical technician. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving with the 35th Fighter Cont. Sqdn., of which he received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, a Victory Medal and a Army of Occupation Medal Japan for his services. He was a member of the Carrollton Masonic Lodge #134 F & AM.
Survivors include a daughter; Ellen Jones and her husband Larry of Carrollton, KY., two grandsons; William Matthew Jones of Carrollton, KY., and Patrick Jones of Nashville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Leona "Nonie" Watson in 2002, a one grandson; Christopher Robin Jones.
Masonic Services will be held at 7:00 P.M., Monday evening at the funeral home.
The Rev. Chris White will conduct the funeral service.
The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral is in charge of all the arrangements.
