William Widmayer

William F. "Wild Bill" Widmayer, 77, of Carrollton, KY., died on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on December 8, 1934 in Brooklyn, Kings County, NY., the son of the late Louis and Jean Schumm Widmayer. He was retired in 1997 from the M & M Logistics Company as a truck driver after 48 years of service. He was a member of the Broken Wings Flying Club in Madison, IN., and of the Protestant faith.

He will be missed by his wife Helen Thorn Widmayer of Carrollton, KY., a daughter, Cindy Nelson of Land O' Lakes, WI., a son, Louis Widmayer of Smithfield, KY., five step-daughters, Teresa Anderson of Milton, KY., Martha Jones of Carrollton, KY., Melissa Thomas of Carrollton, KY., Jessica Jackson of Hanover, IN., and Deanna Gault of Indianapolis, IN., two step-sons, Daniel Jones and Stephen Jones both of Madison, IN., five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, seventeen step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his faithful rottweiler "Molly" who was always at his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Millie Anderson, a step-granddaughter, Summer Lean.

Cremation has been chosen by the family. No services are planned.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
