Willie Irene Swinney, 90, of Carrollton, KY., died at 11:20 P.M. on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the New Horizons Assisted Living Center in Carrollton, KY.
She was born in Punta Gorda, Charlotte County, FL., on April 25, 1917, the daughter of the late John T. and Irene (Trippe) Swinney. Willie was a retired Bookkeeper for Eskew & Greshem CPA's in Louisville, KY. She attended Hanover College in Hanover, IN., and was a graduate of Morehead State Teacher's College. Willie was a former School Teacher in the Oldham County, KY., School System.
She is survived by a nephew; Regie Zapp of Carrollton, KY.
Willie was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister; Julia Evelyn Swinney Zapp in March of 2007.
Graveside Services were conducted on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the St. John Catholic Cemetery with the Rev. Gerald Reinersman officiating the service.
Arrangements were entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Riley Funeral Home.
